Melissa S. Penson

Melissa Penson is the newest associate with the firm of Smith-Weiss Shepard, P.C. She is a member of the New Hampshire and Nashua Bar Associations, as well as the Massacuhusetts Bar Association.

Education

Ms. Penson graduated from Wilmington High School in Wilmington, VT in 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Haven in 2002. In 2005, she earned a Juris Doctor degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center and was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar. In 2008, Ms. Penson was admitted to the Florida Bar Association. In 2009, after relocating from Miami, Florida, Ms. Penson was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Community Involvment

A native New Englander, Melissa loves the outdoors and loves helping people. She is very active in the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Pro Bono activities and volunteers at the Lawyer’s Help Desk at the Hillsborough County Superior Court on certain Fridays. Along with her husband, an immigration attorney, Melissa participates in various latino activities, including Latinos on the Move and Vision Hispana. When not working, Melissa can be found motorcycling, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing or generally exploring New England with her husband.
